Whitefield has officially become a part of Bangalore city, falling under the jurisdiction of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).

Today, Whitefield is accessible via two major four-lane roads - Whitefield Road via Mahadevapura and Varthur Road (HAL Old Airport Road) via Marathahalli. These roads intersect with Karnataka State Highway 35, facilitating smooth connectivity from Siddlaghatta in the north to Anekal in the south.
